Cliffe Castle

Can't remember the name of this fabulous bloom (I'm sure someone will  remind me) but there is a fabulous specimen in the glasshouse at Cliffe Castle and a second not yet in full bloom.

A murky day, so a plan to recce a walk from the Chevin gave way t a gentle exploration of Cliffe Castle museum, gardens, glasshouse and aviary and of course the café. Ashamed to admit that having lived so close for so many years, this is the first time I have ventured inside. 

The museum houses an amazing array of displays, galleries and exhibits. Must go back and spend more time there.
