Around the Lake

We’re staying in Bürgenstock, in Switzerland. The hotel looks out over Lake Lucerne, although the day started with a view of mainly cloud. Thankfully, it didn’t stay that way. We decided to make the most of our hire car and after an ample breakfast, set off for a full circuit of the perimeter of the lake. We made several stops to take in the views (see the extra taken in Brunnen). We ended up in Lucerne for a quick lunch. Back to the hotel mid afternoon we couldn’t resist taking the funicular from the hotel to the lake and back just because it was there! With the clearest views of the day and a little sunlight breaking through we climbed to the highest point in the hotel to get the view in the blip.

This evening we’ve had a fabulous meal in one of the hotel restaurants before making the most of the hotel spa this evening. A busy but wonderfully relaxing and fun day.
