It's my birthday :-)  This time last year we  were celebrating my 60th on safari in Tanzania, a memorable trip but I'm very happy in my favourite place in the world looking down Langdale Valley.

As always I had a lovely birthday which included brunch and late afternoon tea at Daffodil Hotel in Grasmere. A photo of me before the food was demolished is in extra. Early evening in pub then back to the lodge for stupid games with L, bro, SiL, and friends K & J.

It's been many years I have been at the Lakes for my birthday and today was the first time for a long while that it hasn't rained ! Just to make the day even better.
