Goose

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me six geese-a-laying. Well, that's according to the song. You, my Blipfoto lovelies, will need to settle for one goose a-preening.

Actually, when I took this particular photo, this goose was taking a wee break from its preening and just keeping warm by snuggling its neck and head into its down-covered shoulder.

Led a service of seven lessons and carols at church this morning, followed that with lunch with my visiting cousins, then dropped in to my other cousins later in the afternoon and caught up with a few of the extended family, including a Skype call to a nephew and niece in Vancouver Island. The next few days promise some more family get-togethers; it's what we do!
