Abu Simbel

The temple of Abu Simbel. Re-located some few hundred metres and placed on a man made mountain so it wouldn't flood after the construction of the Aswan Dam. Awesome visit here for a Sun Festival; where the rising sun illuminates an alter to the rear of the temple, like being on the set of Raiders of the Lost Ark.....The statues are King Rameses II @ 65 feet high....
