Oh Christmas Tree.....

This our 'Christmas tree' for 2018.  As Merlin is still young we haven't dared put up a full size tree filled with tempting decorations.  So this is our alternative tree!  You may just about be able to make out the dog in question loitering in the background of this photo (he was most interested in this little tree as I moved it so as to take this blip)!

Another day of dog walks but we've been more restful than yesterday.  We made a quick trip to the allotment to collect and empty the bags of weeds and roots I've been digging up and were given some Jerusalem artichokes by another allotment holder who is overrun with them.  I'll make some soup with them.  Then it was off to do some food shopping before returning for lunch and the afternoon dog walk, followed by some research into the controversy about whether there are any real Scottish wildcats still in existence in Scotland....a topic which we were discussing over our Christmas dinner (of all things!).  And so now it is on to our evening meal and hopefully an evening of relaxation.  

Hoping your day has been bright and merry.  Its been dull weather here today but it is wonderful to be on holiday from work.
