Love’s Young Dream
We were all young once and demographics being what they are most of us still are!
This Staffordshire flat-back figurine of young lovers under an arbor was left to me by my great aunt. Flat-backs were affordable and popular ornaments in Victorian Britain. They were made in the Staffordshire potteries and, being meant to be displayed on a mantlepiece, they are plain and undecorated on their rears; hence the name Staffordshire flat-back.
