The saga continues

A friend rang me as she had spare ticket to see the new Mary Poppins film in Northampton.  We duly arrived after  managing to find a parking space with difficulty.  It is only a small cinema and soon filled up, mostly with young families.  The adverts appeared but without sound.  Eventually sound was restored and we settled down, saw the certification screen and then everything went blank.  Told technicians were working on the fault and to bear with them.  After about 10 minutes they announced that the screening was cancelled and we could get our money back.  4 of us then had quite a fun day and ended up having fish and chips and lots of laughs.  The day was not as planned and I hope the jinx has now gone for the rest of the year!
Will now have to make other arrangements to see the film.
