Soaring High

I didn't see either of the Bald Eagles in their usual places so I left the area. Turning left out of the church parking law, I saw a flash of white in the sky. I grabbed by binoculars and looked skyward and I saw this Eagle land on a narrow branch. The branch bent downward and the bird flipped over; he was hanging completely upside down. I was spellbound, wondering if he would get upright from that position; he flapped his wings and slowly got turned around so he could fly to a sturdier perch. He didn't stay there long before he flew off again. I got my camera out and caught this shot of him circling overhead. Then he flew low over the farmland like he was looking for a rabbit or some other rodent for a snack.

Not much happening here today.
