A Foretaste of Spring

As an antidote to all my Christmas blips, I give you a colourful reminder that Spring is not too far away:-)  These lovely tulips were a gift today from the friends who came to lunch.  They also brought a box of Chocolate Florentines, but somehow most of them have disappeared, so are not available to be blipped!

I changed my mind several times about what to give them to eat, but finally decided to go with homemade spiced cauliflower soup with cheese scones (made to my daughter's recipe) followed by vanilla cheesecake.  It all went down a treat and wasn't too heavy after all the extra food we've been eating recently.

Lovely to catch up with all their news and it was dark by the time they left, so no chance of an outdoor blip.
