Trying Not to Look Silly.

TM was persuaded to try on his new specs.  He got them for Christmas from a friend. They are just the thing for the vegetable grower and cook. Onion glasses, it says on the case.

They have a foam rubber gasket inside the frame, which I suppose stops the fumes getting to the eyes and causing them to sting.  Less obvious is the purpose of the furry flaps that hang down in front of the ears. Any ideas?

I couldn't let Silly Saturday pass without recording them.
