No prizes for guessing who gave me this fridge magnet for Christmas: she's right, of course.

We've enjoyed a quiet day: a shorter bike ride than yesterday to do a bit of shopping, giving the car a pre-New Year treat of a wash, then listening to Yeovil hang on for a 0-0 draw away at Tranmere; a good result in the circumstances against a team just outside the play offs.

We're all off tomorrow to London to visit our old friend Chris for New Year.
