The Cairn

A trip over Machen Common, a dirt track road that runs from Machen village over the mountain to Blackwood. I've known of this Bronze age (3000 BC – 1200 BC) round barrow ancient burial mound or Cairn for many years.

It is called Twyn Cae-Hugh, Mynydd Y Grug, looking at the list of  scheduled ancient records in the Caerphilly archives.
