On a clear day...

Maybe you can't quite see forever, but from Russian Ridge this afternoon I could see clear past San Francisco to the Marin headlands. There was so little fog even the Farallon Islands were visible - over 50 miles from my vantage point (first extra).  The second extra is zoomed in more on the city and Bay Bridge, with the Sales Force Tower lit up like a beacon by the setting sun. I wonder if they knew what an eyesore landmark that tower would be - arriving by boat from the north it is visible long before the towers of the Golden Gate Bridge.
