Paying Attention Horns

It is always lovely to see children paying attention because they love what they are doing, rather than from fear of chastisement.

The annual Christamas concert of the East Lothian Schools brass band, conducted with his usual flair by Charlie Farren, who also teaches all the players in the band, was held at Ross High School, Tranent, East Lothian. Children aged from eight to eighteen, including my Euphling, joined forces to play carols and Christmas music, then after refreshments a short concert by my new band, the Whitburn band.

Still a bit early for Christmas, but it snowed and the Santa hats helped get everybody in the mood!
