Camellia Grijsii

A return visit to St Andrews this morning for some urgent purchases ..... I needed socks!

The town was much busier as the visitors arrived for Hogmanay and New Year.

On our way home we paid a brief visit to the glass houses in the Botanic Gardens. The camellias made a stunning display ..... the flowers on this white variety were already beginning to fade and fall.

Another lovely day with sunshine and wall to wall blue skies. It did get rather chilly as the afternoon wore on and the sun bade us farewell for today.
