Angel
We all decamped to London today to see the Renzo Piano exhibition at the Royal Academy. A really interesting study of the major projects of a remarkable, innovative architect's career. Although there were only three rooms there was masses to see, read and absorb, from many perspectives: technical, cultural, social, environmental... I loved the way it was laid out too, with each project taking up one table which was surrounded by chairs for those who were feeling studious (or weary). Almost as if we were being invited to do a crit.
I loved the new open spaces in the Royal Academy too. It's always seemed quite an exclusive place to me, but the small exhibitions you can just wander into made it feel much more welcoming.
At dusk in Piccadilly the angels took over.
