A Tree Felled, Aylesford

Yesterday was the first time in years that we haven't had a second successive full-on turkey dinner (we're doing it tonight instead - just about to put the bird in now!). Instead, we had a sort of leftovers mish-mash with chicken vol-au-vents - it was rather delicious considering it was a concoction we made up on the spot!
We then decided to watch the film Lady Bird which has received glowing reviews in the press, Unfortunately, I didn't get it at all - everything about it was ever so slightly "off", the structure of the film itself, the characters and the emotional arc of the story. I just didn't care enough about the protagonists to get really involved with it. It was light years away from the superb Mrs. Wilson.
Today's image is of a huge tree which has been felled near where I live - the width of the trunk was huge (about five and a half feet) so it must have been a fair old age. It looked sad but majestic at the same time if that makes sense. I took the shot while standing on one of the massive branches.
