Tiny dog in a big wide world
After the glories of Monday and the relative distraction of Christmas Day, today was noticeably driech.
We made the best of it and headed out early to High Borrowdale, Missy learning about cattle grids, but also coming every time she was called. Let's hope that continues..
We saw not a soul as we ambled, playing fetch, looking at lichens and keeping a wary eye out for over friendly bovines. At Low Borrowdale Bridge* a hip flask of liqueur, a cup of 'proper' coffee and a few carefully wrapped mince pies made the morning a grand one.
* You won't find that name on a map, but a bridge as lovely as this one, in such a strategically important place, at a place where anyone with a soul would pause a while - well a bridge like this deserves a name.
