epic fail

after a brief chat with brave blue world today I decided to have my first attempt at shooting the stars in the sky,

The first 30 minutes were not good as I could not get the remote to work :(. and then I released I was pointing it at the back and not the front where the sensor is.........

Dropped the camera into Manual mode, dropped the Iso down to 100 turned the speed down to bulb flicked the lens into manual focus and hit the remote. 27 minutes later I get the above

not really sure what happen but not the result I was hoping for got to cold to try again so maybe another night
