Happy ChrismaSki Day 7

Firstly - a very Merry Christmas to you all.

We are having the most amazing time here in the French Alps.

I was up at the crack of dawn waiting for everyone to get up and see that Santa had been!!! Even though the eldest of my crew is 27, they are never too old for a stocking!!!

After breakfast, we headed up the slopes. My bag was rammed with Santa hats and we all wore our festive Jumpers. The weather was glorious - such an enormous contrast from yesterdays drenching!

I even managed to talk Mr W into bringing his ski's today and stayed with him on the Baby slope with the magic carpet. He wasn't going to go any where near the ski lift that he fell off (3 times!)

After a coffee and a beer in the sunshine, Mr W headed back down the slope to the chalet while Emily stayed on the green run and back to the beer while Josh, Sophie, Sam and I did another Blue run!!! Go me! It was a little icy as the temperature had dropped to -7 in the night but I managed to stay upright and am proud of my efforts!!!!

By about 2 o'clock we had all had our fix of skiing and headed back to join Mr W.

Sam got in the hot tub with a glass of whiskey and a cigar, the girls got ready and we lit a fire. The kids all played monopoly while dinner was prepared and we were fed canapes before dinner was served. Pudding was THE MOST AMAZING meringue ring with fruit and a crushed Crunchie!!

I cannot tell you just how amazing it is to have a cook and washer-upper on Christmas Day. I don't think any other Christmas will actually top this - not unless one of the children announce they are pregnant!!!

Then after dinner we did the gifts. We decided to get just one gift each although not everyone stuck to the rule but at least we knew what to expect. Then I surprised everyone with a scratch card announcing they could all have a Helicopter ride over the Alps if they want one. Well their reaction simply made my Christmas even better.

So that it - the most amazing day after a fantastic week and a few more days to go. A Merry Christmas to you all and a big up to my Daddy up there in the Stars who made all this possible. xXx
