Christmas Breakfast

I have never been confused with a person, any person, who knows how to cook.  I thought I would treat Mom to a pancake breakfast.  It was only the 2nd time in my life I have attempted such a feat. They were supposed to look like Christmas trees.  I suppose (now that I'm thinking about it) that I could have cut them into my chosen shape before putting them on the plates.  These are my unvarnished masterpieces.  Fortunately, this is not the only food to be inflicted upon my mother today.  In a few hours we will be having a wonderful holiday meal at one of the nicer, and more expensive, restaurants in the area.
