An interesting return South. Floods and overhead cable work between Newcastle and York meant we'd missed our connection in York and we were then advised to get back on our train and take it all the way to Kings Cross and get the suburban train back out. Finally got home over an hour late, which means East Coast will refund our fares. No complaints here.
