Hodge Close

No 1 son's train left at 0738 so after seeing him off, and as the weather was set fair, we drove into the lakes to see what was on offer.  Beautiful day.

Brown Howe on Coniston, Hodge Close, Yew Tree Tarn and then Chesters for Breakfast and then on to Grasmere for a walk around the village.  Home via Ambleside, Windermere and Newby Bridge.

Good way to spend Christmas Eve.  No 2 son has been to Turin and back  and has now finished for Christmas too.
