Ribbons, Trimmings and Flowers

This marketing statement was photographed  during our walk around Bath this Christmas Eve.  As you can tell, it is rather hard to miss.  Before you ask, I have not altered the colours or contrast on this shot.  It was surprisingly hard to get the reds right when dealing with the exposure settings, I ended up having to under expose by two stops.

Jess has arrived with boyfriend James, so we had a pleasant stroll around Bath to get some fresh air while it was dry.  A stop in the Star public house provided a little extra conviviality the afternoon before Christmas.

The extra is a little more subdued - the old Empire Hotel in Bath, seen from the far side of the weir.  We've had a lot of rain in recent days and the river Avon is looking pretty full as you can see.
