Trabants.....
Our last morning in Berlin, and we headed to the cathedral and took in some great views of the city from it's dome.
We then set off for Checkpoint Charlie. Not much remains of this famous crossing point between East and West Berlin, but we felt it was worth visiting such a recent historical part of the city.
We did discover another of Yadegar Asisi's panorama's nearby. This time it was one of the Berlin wall, when it still divided the city in the 1980s. It's just behind Checkpoint Charlie. Again, another fascinating depiction of the city at this point in it's history. We also spotted this set of iconic East German cars - the trabant.
We walked past the zoo which I would have loved to visit just not enough time, and the famous Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial church which was badly damaged during the Second World War. We then walked back to our hotel via the Tiergarten park. The extra is of a Russian tank near the Soviet War Memorial near the Brandenburg Gate.
We've had a great trip and found Berlin a fascinating city, with a hope that we'll return soon.
