Schöne Feiertage/Happy Holidays

I was up early today for a quick appointment.  The city centre was surprisingly empty - mainly because it was before 10 a.m. and nothing was open. The Sternschnuppernmarkt was being dismantled which seems really quick off the mark but I guess it's always like that.  

I picked up my prescription and had a bit of a wander.  Something about the way the sun was shining on the big wheel appealed to me.

And I broke a long standing rule - I went grocery shopping on the 24th.  Normally it's bedlam but today it was actually almost painless.  A nice surprise.

Came home, did a bit of food preparation, had a first go at making hasselback potatoes too - I can recommend them, although my potatoes did not play like the ones in the video.  I suppose if you sprinkled them with chest hair they could be Hasselhof Potatoes (and people would think you were very odd indeed).
