Predawn

Not such nice morning today. 
We went for a drive up to Alta - very pretty, a lot more snow up there. About to go to the airport now - D arriving from NZ.  Nearly didn't, she got bumped off at SFO by United despite having a confirmed seat and ticket, checked in and issued for the through flight from AKL. How can they do that?? Air NZ to the rescue and a huge argument between them and United I think, and she is back on board. (otherwise it would have been 2 days before she got here - can you believe that)
