View from a tower

We decided to visit Hopetoun monument as have driven past it lots and then found out you can climb it. A tower with a single winding ancient staircase and a few slot windows, making much of the climb in the dark. Exciting and scary only to reveal a fantastic view across the fourth and east Lothian. Then a wee explore in the car across the hills into the border country. A chilled Sunday. Lovely. Looking forward to a low key chilled Christmas.
