A delivery free day. Good! In fact, a do-nothing day, the kind I like. Archie wore his festive scarf up the hill, and he ran between us lots of times, completely forgetting about it. I tried out my newly fixed wellies, and they worked. Mind you, it wasn't wet and muddy, so they weren’t really tested properly. We met a gorgeous wee Lakeland Terrier called Hattie, and Hattie's dad was nice and chatty - some dog walkers don’t even bother to say hello... JR and Archie walked home.

A few visitors in the afternoon - poor wee Rufus had just been to the emergency vet with a sore paw. A costly visit, but he's worth it, of course. Janet popped in too, and Elizabeth.

Talking of vets... Archie has a sore ear, it has been looking red and inflamed, but JR has been using stuff to clear it up. We have a vet appointment tomorrow, but I think we'll be able to cancel it in the morning.
