Granddaughter Like Grandfather
Granddaughter and I are setting up a new business to crack the problem of the lack of "British Style" foods in Germany. If the Brits aren't prepared to export the stuff, then Charlotte, who is luckily on the right side of the Irish border, can get her Dad to smuggle the ingredients over from the North and we can apply for EU Geographical Indication Protection as her Mum still holds a UK passport and thus enough credibility for the "British Style" claim on the packaging.
In the Extras, you can see her British Style mince pies and wearing our newly formed company sweatshirt with our Logo of a Unicorn a la "My Little Pony" which her mother was heavily into at about the same age.
Just need a name for the company ... Duff's Stuff?
23 years ago, her Mother was OK at making the odd Christmas cake and could step in when Charlotte and I enjoy our 6-month Round the World cruise next year on the company yacht while the cheap labour British Immigrant churns out the Xmas 2019 stockpiles.
It seems the UK is dry at least today. Son J was at a "Little Germany" Christmas Market somewhere in Southern England. I would have posted the photo he sent but a) he isn't wearing his Bavarian hat b) he is drinking Glühwein from a plastic Starbuck's style coffee beaker with plastic lid. He knows better and has in the same time as Kate not learnt to stop flogging a dying horse. I thought after visits in 2016 & 2017 to real German Christmas markets that he knew his mugs from his cups. His photo would anyway be banned on the internet in Germany and this week the EU Parliament passed a law to ban all single-use plastic. Another restrictive EU law and a good reason for Brexit.
Very wet miserable stormy day here. Angie did manage a long ride out early this morning with MrsMY while it was dry for a couple of hours.
