The BIG C for Christmas!

For a country that doesn't really celebrate Christmas they really do go all out with the decorations! This is what greets us when we first walk into the Big C now to do our grocery shopping. Let it be said that the Vietnamese never do things by halves (when it comes to decorating at least!).

Its been a very busy two days. Yesterday we had the famous actress Ali Macgraw at our centre. What an amazing, down to earth and beautiful woman she is! She completely fell in love with our bears and wants to come back again soon. Most importantly she is adding her voice to our eviction campaign.

We also have a specialist surgeous visiting from America to help out with a couple of tricky bear cases. Today we did surgery on 'Eugi'. He was attacked by a dog when he was a cub and for ten years he has lived with weeping open sores and limited movement in his hind legs. After 6 hours in surgery we are hopeful his wounds will heal and he will gain more mobility than he has ever had before. His recovery will be long. Fingers crossed for this big gentle boy.

Thank you so much for the stars, hearts and beautifully kind words on hearing about Rae's passing. The best way to honour Rae's memory is to continue our work with the bears and small animals and continue to fight for our centre. Her last words to us were -
"Please keep on making a difference to the world - you're a wonderful bunch
Love Rae"

And that is exactly what we are going to do x :)
