Sam’s Gap

Traveling from Tennessee to North Carolina we went over Sam’s Gap.  (Edit. I had the wrong gap). It had rained everywhere else but at this high elevation (3700 ft) it was snow.  This was from the overlook on the NC side.  I liked the break in the clouds.

We stopped in Asheville to peek around - a lovely city. I could have spent longer, but we had the dog in the car and kids weren't really up for shopping.  But we went to a glass blowing place - very cool demonstration and beautiful work.  I could have bought everything in the store - except for the practical aspects of money and space.  loved it tho and did get an ornament.  love glass balls on the tree.
