Channel-billed Cuckoo

The extra photo is more interesting in some ways.
Well this is the 3rd shot of the Channel-bill as a photo it is the worst of the 3.  But its rather interesting  if you look at the wings.  With the wings spread you can see shadows of tree leaves or the leaves directly, the wings are very translucent.  I have not noticed this before.  Is this because the feathers are white, or, just very fine.  If fine maybe it means they can flex and the CBC can fly very quietly, the equivalent of a stealth plane.  Certainly the feathers may be delicate, look at the tail, it’s been damaged.
