The great escape!  Looking across Ambleside from high on Wansfell.

I've spent too much time recently doing domestic chores so, after putting the Christmas tree up (it's got lights but no decorations yet), I headed out for a walk.

The highest I've been for a while but didn't reach the top. A good reason ....... I decided to save time and energy by using the car for a short distance.  Because I parked in a disc zone I had to be back by 11 or risked a parking ticket. No regrets though - it was great to be out.
