Bargain fern

Haven't been out today, still feeling rather clogged up. Thought I'd Blip this fern, which has unusually 'crested, contorted and curving' fronds, according to one website.


I've seen these in Homebase over the last few weeks and although I'm not a huge fan of these rather odd ferns, when they were reduced to £1.00 I couldn't resist the bargain! It was labelled as simply Nephrolepis, which I suppose is one better than 'green plant', but a quick look on Google identified it as Nephrolepis exaltata 'Emina'.


Unfortunately, in an attempt I assume to appeal to one-upsters, it has the common name 'the fashionista fern'. What's wrong with its own name, I ask!
