Hip Replacement Weight

Know someone young who has had a hip replaced wondering if it was that that was making her heavier. I'm an orthopaedic operating theatre nurse and had one at home so I weighed it for her!

8lbs here. Not including the acetabular cup component that I don't have and the weight of the cement used for fixation.

Made her feel better :)
