Driving Home

Cool and wet in Piet Retief this morning but drying out and warming up nicely as we drove back to Jo'burg. Loads of trucks on the roads but we made pretty good time and weren't held up too long at either of the police roadblocks. Not sure what the first check was for but at the second they were keying the number plates into an online system so L figured that would be checking for outstanding fines. The passengers in the various taxis whose drivers were off 'helping' the police must have been hoping the drivers weren't carted off to jail!
Home, unpacked, first loads of washing done, Chinese carry-out for tea, lots of chat. Great!
