The last day of term

Margret took me to Hexham for an early hair cut and she did some shopping for me while I was there. 

I was waiting for her to return, when crowds of young people started walking down the road. They were from Queen Elizabeth High School and on their way to their carol service. I suspect this may not have been a calm, serene affair! As you can see they were happy to be photographed.

At lunchtime, Julie arrived and drove me back to Hexham, this time for lunch at Caroline's house. We had delicious food and lovely chat. I dozed off after lunch as I sat on the settee in front of a proper coal fire. What luxury!
