Christmas lights

Today we bought our fresh cut tree and put up the lights.
The ornaments will come later.
I like just the lights for a while.
Just as the days are growing shorter, and the evenings are getting blacker and colder, the appearance of Christmas lights sprout up all over the neighborhood spreading joy and delight. At first only a few houses and businesses are aglow, but as the season progresses, the light increases. It is like a symphonic crescendo for the eyes!
God created us to be his "Christmas lights" all year round. What a privilege we have to be able to bring hope and joy to those going through dark, cold times. Where can we "let our light shine" in the coming weeks?
