Veg Friday.

I know it should be Flower Friday, but the veg looked so colourful, I decided to take a photo of these instead, and anyhow one is a cauliFLOWER!

What a joy it is to be able to avoid all the hassle of a supermarket today, and have a leisurely shop at our local farm shop. There and back in 20mins. And that included the usual chatting.

If I remember rightly, back in September the media were full of tales of woe about this winter’s vegetables.
“ No sprouts for Christmas. Cauliflowers £5 each!”
RUBBISH!
Most of this veg. has been grown locally, or if not, in Yorkshire.
No shortage of anything, and no ridiculous prices either.
Doesn’t it make you want to shoot whoever started these ridiculous rumours.

Makes a very colourful blip too!

Weather dark and dismal for the shortest day of the year.
Mr C has gone into Leeds to meet up with two friends from the Wine Club for, ( now traditional) Pre Christmas lunch.
Hope he is in a fit state afterwards to get on the right bus home!
