Eight falcons a flying

Checked in at 130am after a wait then chatted with a colleague who was also flying. Saw a former student who was off to Thailand, another of my teaching assistants who was going home to Egypt.. it’s a small world and then 8 falcons.. these falcons were with their handlers and travelled on my plane, all eight of them in the back of economy class... but they got priority boarding. I’ve seen a handler with one falcon before, but not this many. There were two birds with each handler and they seemed to be quite calm. Their wings were taped and some wore hoods. Very interesting.

A short hop to Abu Dhabi in preparation for 13 hours to Melbourne and an hour to Adelaide.
