All that glisters is not gold

In fact the observant will notice that there is no gold, nor even the little glittery stuff at all in this shot... There is however a small tree ornament that is catching and reflecting the light which is the dictionary definition of glitter, the little stuff being called glitter because it glitters...

If you believe the intertubes, then the Shakespeare phrase originally contained glister in the early editions but was revised to glitter in later editions. Glister and glitter being interchangeable at the original time of publication but only one is commonly used now.

Today: work, home, council meeting, blip, more work and bed...
