Lights

The preparations for Christmas have breathed life into the silent and dormant streets of the city. In this region of Ukraine, both Catholic and Orthodox Christmas are celebrated. My family is closer to the present, astronomical Christmas, when the longest night and the shortest day of the year. But my children celebrate both holidays; ) because you can receive gifts, ginger cookies, homemade Dresden Stollen and traditional dishes twice!
This year, winter solstice falls on the night of the 21st to the 22nd of December.
