The tree is in

We are making progress; it's starting to look festive here! This is the tree we got from the National Forest near Mt. Adams. It's sparse, has a crooked trunk, but looks altogether lovely. It'd be happy with just the candles on it, but might get overruled when the grandchildren come over tomorrow to make gingerbread cookies. Secretly in my heart I always hope for snow for Christmas (statistically I think 4 Christmases out of a 100 here have snow) and this year does not look to be one of those 4 - just rain in the forecast.
