Freshie

Today finds us in Townsville, Australia.  We visited the excellent Reef Headquarters here -- a fascinating aquarium featuring the many amazing aquatic denizens of the area.  This is a young freshwater crocodile.  Even though he was only about a foot long, he still looked menacing!  It was wonderful to see the corals and fish that populate the Great Barrier Reef as well.  It definitely feels like summer today -- the temperature right now is 91F!
