Mote Park, wild and wide

Mostly safely gathered in. Shopping this morning for turkey, all the trimmings, cake, pudding, stuff for mince pies, apple cake and lots of other stuff for baking all packed into a couple of rucksacks and lugged home. What lengths we go to not to use the car!

While Susan was baking I took Doreen around to the newsagents so as she could by her special cards and buy gift cards for her grandchildren. She does very well to be doing this stuff at her age but my, she takes some organising.

Once Susan had finished in the kitchen it was my turn to start cooking, the filling for tomorrow’s Shepherds Pie and tonight’s Pumpkin and Choritzo soup. Glad to sit down at the end of all that!

Today’s blip is both wide and Wild Wednesday being a wide view of Mote Park in the bright sunshine after a shower and a view of a melange of wild birds squabbling and squarking on the lake.
