HOLME ISLAND AND ARNSIDE VIEW
Such a lovely day after the very wet day yesterday. I just posted my last parcel this morning and then went onto Grange Promenade, which is a lovely place to walk. This time I walked up from The Commodore Hotel entrance and turned left, going onto and past Grange Railway Station and right up to the end and onto the railway bridge. I rarely go that way for some reason and yet it is probably the prettiest of the routes.
For those that don't know Grange Promenade is a mile long and looks out over Morecambe Bay from Arnside on the left over the Morecambe and Heysham on the right. I actually live at Kents Bank, about 2 miles from Grange centre and often walk from there down a steep hill annud along the Prom and come out at an entrance by The Commodore Hotel.
The main photo is the view from the farthest end of the prom near the railway bridge to The Netherwood Hotel. The extras are of the Prom looking towards Grange and the other is of our lovely station at Grange. Kents Bank has its own tiny station which my husband helps maintain and both are lovely.
I had coffee and tea cake in Thyme Out (my favourite café in Grange), met a few of the locals in there, bought my neighbours Christmas Cards and then drove back home.
