Christmas Shopping

Thanksfully it’s pretty well all done and a last minute dash into woolies for some provisions today and we were able to escape the Christmas mayhem. We had a massive storm tonight and 40mm fell in 10 minutes. There wasn’t much to do except watch nature do its thing.

We’ll be on the road tomorrow and will be up early for a quick getaway. We hope to be in Young tomorrow afternoon where I’m going to have a catchup with Doug and Bill the two genius engineeers who did all of the steel work at Wombat Hollow. I scanned all of the images I took while they were doing the major construction of the steel frame and internal stairs and tomorrow I’m going to give them an album of the images. I think they’ll enjoy having the photos because it was a project they really enjoyed being involved with. I can honestly say that until I met them I was starting to think that no one could build the house I had planned. They were a very special team and a delight to deal with.
