Two years ago, during autumn, I bough an amaryllis bulb from a local garden shop. It grew, blossomed and when the flowers were gone I put it in a window. The leaves eventually withered too, and I put it in a dark place and forgot about it. When I looked for my Christmas ornaments I found it and thought I'd give it a chance. I gave it some water and waited. I didn't think it would be alive still, nor it be possible to awaken. My boss/supervisor at the greenhouse agreed when I told her about the bulb. No chance for it to grow again. And look at it now!! It's alive!! Rather mazing I think. :) Happy surprise for today! 
And my hyacinth is looking rather lovely in the background, doesn't it? :)
